The New Jersey court system can be complicated, but what lawyers do should not be shrouded in secrecy.

You shouldn’t feel like a number.
Your lawyer is your advocate in the legal system. Your lawyer should know and understand who you are. Your case is important. Your lawyer should be making progress and keeping you informed without you having to ask. If your lawyer makes you feel like you’re bothering them or taking up too much time, you might want to think about getting a new lawyer.
